The result of this development is WorkSite Pro and WorkSite Live. FileMaker Pro and FileMaker Go have been used to create a scalable, integrated solution the supports all areas of the business.

Worksite Pro is a desktop based system which possess the powerful ability to manage Traffic Management Projects whilst integrating key functions such as;

Worksite Live is a iPad App running with FileMaker Go, which  allows staff to capture all onsite data & synchronise it directly to WorkSite Pro for instant processing – creating a “paperless” work environment whilst streamlining operational and administrative functions including time sheet reporting, invoicing and payroll.

Allied Express is the largest, independently owned courier and express freight company in Australia with offices in all major mainland capitals. Their fleet of over 1000 vehicles covers the entire country with a comprehensive range of fast, efficient express freight transport services.

Allied Express required a CRM system to allow their National Account Management team to manage their client information, and to provide reporting to management. The system needed to be available to staff all over Australia and provide a lead pipeline for their sales teams, and reporting for their account service teams.

The FileMaker system that has been set up by Jim Dwyer & Macumen has allowed our National Account Management team to be on top of their client information including trading figures and frequency’s. The program also enables our internal staff to be able to view a client’s history at any time day or night! We can access our client base no matter what state we are in and all information is viewable, whilst being protected by a user name and password. The reporting mechanisms set up allow management to be able to measure the performance of our Account Managers on a daily basis, which assists to allocate the right people to the right position.

Retail solution for bullion products

ABC Bullion have been using FileMaker to manage their business since 2003. The solution covers their retail operation, hedging, refining, and wholesale operations. The ABC solution pulls data from financial market feeds every 5 minutes, updates product pricing within the system and then writes the data the ABC’s website.

Since 2012, Macumen have been working with ABC Bullion, initially as their Mac-focussed IT Support consultants, and then as their FileMaker partner. Working with their Sydney-based operations manager, workflows were optimised and new processes were introduced. Leveraging FileMaker Go on iPads, Macumen reduced the daily stocktake process from 80 minutes to 10 minutes. Macumen built an iPad-based point of sale system which allows floor staff to assist their customers in the showroom to select appropriate products, lock in prices and produce an invoice – without leaving the customer.  Macumen continues to work with ABC to tailor the application to suit the business’ ongoing expansion into new markets.

 

Macumen joined ABC Bullion in July 2012 as our IT support partner and FileMaker developer. Both Jim and John have contributed to our business on such a vast scale that they have completely revolutionised our business. Our IT structure is rock solid under John's guidance and following a complete audit we now have control of our systems. Jim's input into our FIlemaker software has been invaluable. He quickly understood our complex business, working closely with our teams to streamline processes, building robust systems and cleverly moving us onto iPads, making our whole business flexible, adaptable and client friendly. We've thrown away the paper, gone fully electronic, mobile and more efficient. They are a valuable asset to our business as well as just being a great team to have around!

Shillington College was started when Andrew Shillington was having trouble recruiting talented junior designers fresh out of college. They were full of great ideas but many seemed to lack the high-end computer skills, practical knowledge of design theory and the ability to meet the design industry’s challenging deadlines. For Andrew the only logical conclusion was to recruit the best designers he can find and create a course that covers everything that he, and other employers, will need in a junior designer.

Shillington College now has campuses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane as well as colleges in New York, London and Manchester.

Since 2000 Macumen have provided IT support for the college, as well as developing a custom FileMaker Student Management System that manages students, enrolments and courses, as well as integration with their website and the MailChimp email service for keeping students informed.

Shillington has been relying on Macumen Consulting for IT support for the past 17 years. With 6 colleges in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, New York, London and Manchester their ongoing maintenance of our network, individual computers, general trouble shooting and advice on future expansion are critical to the running of our business.
